Probably you would need some supplementary readings along the way, but I definitely recommend this to anyone. It also has a list of certain phrases that you might need in case you travel.
It is not really a game. This little ds game provided a fun way to learn French.
You can even record your own pronunciation to compare with the original. It has classes, and games, which makes it fun to learn.
It has a list of words that you learned, so you can practice them over. I think if anyone is interested in learning a language on their own, this is a nice way to go.

My French Coach made learning vocabulary fun. My only complaint is the minimal practice with sentence structure, and the absence of revisiting old lessons. It's too easy to learn a lesson by memorization, and then forget two lessons later.Still, I'm glad I bought it and as someone with two years of high school french class, it instantly refreshed my memory.
I loved it. My little sister purchased My Japanese Coach a while ago and she now talks to me in Japanese from time to time. So i decided to purchased the French one. i played it when it arrived. I haved already learned some words.
The speaking segment is excellent though, you record your voice and the you play it over with the voice of a native of the language and that helps you to determine how well you are saying the word which is excellent. I bought this game because I love the French language and really wanted to expand my vocabulary. The only bummer I had was the games in it are timed. The game is a very good learning tool more than a fun and exciting game (which is the point I'm sure. You do need to make sure you are in an environment where you can speak out loud when playing this game as most of the activities require speaking. So you do have enough time to finish the game but you have to work quickly which is not as fun I think, I don't love having to rush through the games but again they are still great learning tools. Overall this game is great for learning the language and I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in French.
